Desmond Serratore (El Dez) is an artist who“UTILIZES THE VISUAL MEDIUMS OF DRAWING, PAINTING AND SCULPTURE TO RECORD AND PRESERVE THE TRADITIONAL ART OF FLAMENCO IN THE LAS VEGAS COMMUNITY.”
Desmond Serratore is an artist whose work is a visual decription of his cultural heritage. In the past Desmond has worked as a commercial artist for many design and art studios in Los Angeles California and well as spending several years at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. In Hollywood California he has worked as an artist for Hanna Barbera Studios, Filmation Studios, Ruby Spears Productions and other media studioson many popular children’s entertainment programs for television. Not fogetting his college aspirations for Fine Art he has continued to sculpt and paint thoughtout the years.
Later moving to Las Vegas Nevada he has continued to engage in artistic endeavors such as the recent artistic collaboration with the local Flamenco artists in Las Vegas. Dez has been a instumental factor in the success of Flarumba Flamenco Dance Troup, contributing design and conceptual ideas for themed flamenco shows.
Throughout the years he has exhibited at many local Art galleries in las Vegas and Los Angeles and recently has been invited to participate with a Hispanic group art show at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center in Las Vegas called “Tapestries of Perception.,” an exhibit showcasing local talent of Latin heritage.
